Mod Pattern Collection

A-line mini dresses, pin stripes, and bold patterns—the mod movement of the ‘50s and ‘60s was iconic. When the young people get access to new ideas, freedoms, and technology, you get fresh and funky art, music, and fashion. And sometimes that art, music, and fashion is so enduring that it still hits almost 75 years later.

In the spirit of the original movement, I wanted this collection to feel mod but with a modern twist. I chose some punchy colours and riffed on some of the classic motifs and layouts for a collection that nods at mod but feels now.

The tonal floral with a bright purple background is itching to be added to a pair of flares. The tear drop grid would be perfect on an old-school style thermos. The wobbly floral stripes and the colourful arch geometric are both destined for the vibey-ist wallpaper.
