Paper House Collab
When I was a kid, I loved going to the scrapbook store with my sisters. I’d intently browse the paper aisles looking for the perfect pieces to create my elementary school grad trip page, which was basically 5 photos of the provincial parliament buildings at weird angles.
As an adult, leave me in a craft store and I’m happy. Perusing the different craft sections, imagining all the possibilities of things I could make, people I could be. As we crafters know, it’s not really about the end product that likely will cost more than if I had just purchased it and that I may or may not actually use. It’s about the making. Creating something out of nothing—a treasured item from a pile of miscellaneous supplies. It’s about the slice of time we’ll carve where we’re not worrying about all the things we need to do and the ways we might have messed up. We’re just making something. Busying our hands and chilling our brains.
And in a world that sometimes assumes crafting is for old ladies and that old ladies only like traditional designs and cliche seasonal motifs, finding colourful and modern craft supplies is like finding a secret gold mine. For many years, my dream has been to create those gold mine supplies and sometimes dreams come true.
Announcing my first collaboration with Paper House Productions: 3 double-sided patterned scrapbook papers! Six modern colourful designs for your scrapbook, junk journal, paper collages, and whatever else you can dream up.
You can get your hands on the papers as single sheets or a pack on Paper House’s website, Amazon, or Michaels.com.
Dedicated to all my old lady (and old lady at heart) crafter friends who love colour and modern designs.
